Face-to-face communication exists as the most expeditious method for contacting me; please speak with me about when (e.g. between classes, during my lunch/prep, or after school) works best for a conversation.
Email works well for contact if I didn’t spend the majority of the day teaching and if it didn’t pile up quicker than dirty laundry on a dorm room floor. Please don’t ever think that I’m ignoring an email if you sent me one–it may have moved below the visible screen before I got to clearing out the inbox, maybe a creative spelling of my name occurred (ask me about the student who was convinced my first name was Diana), or another reason. You’re valuable: ignoring emails isn’t my style; prioritizing the act of teaching and interacting with students is.
